World class facilities and academics lead the delivery of our research and postgraduate teaching in the College where we aim to solve real world problems such as reducing Co2 emissions, harnessing alternative energy sources and curing childhood cancers.
The recent RAE 2008 demonstrated that we have developed our research profile significantly since the RAE 2001 and we now have 50% more academics involved in research. In fact we are in the top third of UK universities for research and our vision is to improve our position significantly by 2017.
Ensuring support for a range of research activities, including bidding, early career research and conference travel, we have a dedicated Research & Graduate College employing a specialist team of staff.
From this page are links to the Research Centres linked to our College where you can find out more information on each of our areas of expertise.
